District of Mackenzie councillor resigns
MACKENZIE — A long-time District of Mackenzie city councillor has resigned.
In a news release, the District says Councillor Amber Hipkiss has resigned after spending 10 years on Council.
“She indicated that her decision to resign was due to personal changes in her life that have caused her to relocate to Prince George, making it difficult to commit the time to her Council duties.”
“Serving the community for the last 10 years has been a privilege and a most rewarding experience. This decision was not easy, I will truly miss representing this community. Working with the District staff, and especially the CAO and our current directors, has been truly an honour.
