UPDATE: RCMP make arrests during proactive enforcement at residence on Vancouver & 11th

UPDATE: The Prince George RCMP Problem Orientated Policing Team (POP) and Downtown Safety Unit, with the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) have taken eight people into custody after executing a search warrant at a residence on the 1100-block of Vancouver Street in Prince George.

The arrests took place on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 at approximately 3:00 p.m., and was part of a drug trafficking investigation. Police say a search of the property found heroin and crack cocaine in amounts consistent with drug trafficking. In addition, a replica firearm and other weapons were located.

Vancouver Street and 11th Avenue have re-opened to traffic

EARLIER: PRINCE GEORGE — A heavy police presence at Vancouver Street and 11th Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Several RCMP vehicles and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) are outside a residence for what police are calling “proactive police enforcement.”

The address is well known to police. We’ll update this story as soon as extra details are released.
