RCMP call school speed zone enforcement a ‘disappointing success’
PRINCE GEORGE — “A disappointing success.”
That’s how the Prince George RCMP describe Tuesday’s back to school speed zone blitz in school zones.
Police officers focused their attention on two schools in town – Spruceland and Peden Hill elementary schools and issued eight tickets and 15 warnings to drivers for speeding.
Additionally, one driver was ticketed for using his cell phone in a school zone. RCMP say the driver was prohibited from driving and had his car impounded for seven days.
