PRINCE GEORGE— The Prince George Animal Rescue has a whole henhouse of showbirds up for adoption. These Brahma roosters are the perfect addition to any flock.

Surprisingly, they lay a tiny little egg. Very small egg, considering that they look so big,” says Nicola Redpath the owner/operator of the Prince George Animal Rescue.” They look gorgeous. They have the feathers on their feet, which is something very different, you know, compared to the other breeds of chickens.”

It can be difficult to incorporate a rooster into a flock, especially if you already have one. However, Redpath says that these gentle giants are up to the challenge.

“I got to keep one of this, flock and have that in with all my other birds and my own rooster,” says Redpath. “And our little rooster has a lot of attitude and they just got along perfect. So, I think they could incorporate that into a flock.”
