PRINCE GEORGE — Parking regulations in the Hospital Zone near the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) will undergo changes as part of a strategy to address on-street parking challenges starting Wednesday.

As part of the proposed changes, two-hour free parking will remain in areas immediately surrounding key medical facilities affected by construction of the new parkade, including UHNBC, the Northern Interior Health Unit, and others.

In addition to the continued availability of free parking, the City is introducing pay parking in the remaining streets within the Hospital Zone.

Using the HotSpot parking app, individuals will be able to pay $1 per hour or $7 for an entire day.
