Businesses affected by 1st Avenue watermain break

PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George is busy making repairs following a watermain break on 1st Avenue.
It’s located on 1st Avenue between Lower Patricia Boulevard and Kingston Street. The City says the repairs will continue today (Wednesday), into Thursday and possibly Friday. Following the repairs, the City says the road will also need to be repaired and repaved.
“Nearby businesses are affected due to water outages during the repairs. Additionally, traffic on Highway 16 east is reduced to alternating two-lane flow in the westbound lane. The City advises drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area if possible.”
