Budget town hall & survey to give city a blueprint for budget season

Oct 29, 2024 | 2:24 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George is reminding residents this is the time to have your say as the 2025 budget consultation process continues. Public input and feedback is vital to the city as that input will set out a blueprint for council as they enter budget season.

The budget town hall is taking place tomorrow at the Conference and Civic Centre from 3:30pm to 8pm. The open house portion will take place from 3:30 to 5:30, and then presentations and a Q&A period will be underway until 8pm.

The city says the “open house section will provide an opportunity for some one-on-one time with councillors, to learn more about city services and the budget process, to play some trivia games and to take the budget surveys.”

“Guided by Council priorities, the annual budget is part of a five-year financial plan that sets out the planned services and initiatives for the next five years, and how the City will pay for them.” – City of Prince George
