Disturbance northeast of Fraser Lake leads to manslaughter charges
FRASER LAKE — One person is dead following what RCMP call a “disturbance” at a rural property northeast of Fraser Lake.
Fraser Lake RCMP responded to the property on Thursday, November 15 to find an adult man suffering “from severe life-threatening injuries,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
“BC EHS were called to the home and despite all lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Evidence obtained at the scene led to the arrest of a male youth at a nearby residence.”
RCMP say BC Prosecution Services have approved manslaughter charges and the 17-year-old youth remains in custody pending his next court appearance.
