Wintry blast strikes Prince George
Prince George — Prince George residents woke up to the sound of shovels and snow blowers Monday morning as it received its first significant snowfall of the year.
Environment and Climate Change Canada Meteorologist Derek Lee says there was seven centimetres of snow measured at Prince George Airport and according to third party sources, says there was up to 10 centimetres of snow in other areas.
Lee said Monday afternoon through to the end of Tuesday will bring snow flurries before up to four centimetres falls on Wednesday.
Snow or rain is expected on Thursday before periods of snow come our way beginning Friday evening.
