A 17 year old has been arrested and charged with manslaughter, in the 2024 investigation into a fentanyl-related overdose that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old. Plus, B.C.’s three-year pilot project decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of illicit drugs for personal use is ending amid the same sort of division it has inspired since launching in 2023 in an effort to stem the tide of overdose deaths.
