Drax, a major energy company, has announced it will stop burning British Columbia wood pellets at its power plant in Yorkshire, England, but environmental advocates say that change means very little for BC’s forests because most of those pellets were never going to the UK in the first place. Plus, the International Biathlon Union Regional Event and Biathlon Canada Western Canadian Championships will be taking place this weekend at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club. And, the Prince George Cougars are back at home after an eight game road trip.
