RCMP investigating early-morning shooting incident on Lansdowne Road
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP are continuing to investigate a shooting incident that occurred on Lansdowne Road earlier this week, an event that prompted a significant police response and has raised concerns among residents in the area.
According to police, frontline officers were called to the 3700-block of Lansdowne Road shortly before 8 a.m. on June 30 after reports of gunshots being fired in the direction of a mobile home. Witnesses in the neighbourhood reported hearing multiple shots and observed a grey sedan bearing Alberta licence plates leaving the area around the same time. Investigators believe the vehicle may be connected to the incident and are seeking additional information from the public.
RCMP officers responded quickly to the scene and began gathering evidence. During their investigation, police located what they described as evidence confirming that a shooting had occurred. Officers then turned their attention to the mobile home believed to have been targeted.
After receiving no response to repeated attempts to contact anyone inside the residence, officers entered the trailer to ensure the safety and well-being of its occupants. Police located three individuals inside the home. Fortunately, none of the occupants had been injured during the incident.
