Timberwolves add Vancouver Island standout to recruiting class
PRINCE GEORGE — The UNBC Timberwolves women’s soccer team has added another promising player to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of Courtenay product Caitlyn Kinnear.
Kinnear joins the Timberwolves after developing with the Comox Valley United Soccer Club and establishing herself as a versatile attacking player capable of playing both striker and winger. A graduate of Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School, she helped her high school team capture two AA Provincial Championships and earned two provincial medals during her club career.
Off the field, Kinnear plans to pursue a degree in Biomedical Studies at UNBC, with the long-term goal of becoming a doctor.
Timberwolves head coach Neil Sedgwick says Kinnear impressed the coaching staff early in the recruiting process.
