WHL moves game streaming to YouTube following Victory Plus uncertainty
Western Hockey League fans will have a new place to watch games this season after the league announced it is moving regular season livestreams to YouTube on an interim basis.
The decision comes amid uncertainty surrounding Victory Plus, the WHL’s exclusive streaming partner since March 2025.
The league says all 2026-27 regular season games will be available free of charge on YouTube, ensuring fans can continue watching their favourite teams and players when the season begins September 18.
WHL Commissioner Dan Near said maintaining easy access to games remains a priority as the league continues to grow its audience.
