Duchess Park dog park renamed in honour of Kathi Travers

PRINCE GEORGE — A Prince George dog park has a new name in honour of a longtime resident and supporter of animal welfare.

New signage has been unveiled at the former Duchess Park Dog Park, which is now officially known as Travers Memorial Dog Park.

The park is named in memory of Kathi Travers, a longtime Prince George resident, dedicated volunteer and passionate supporter of the SPCA.

The renaming recognizes Travers’ contributions to the community and her commitment to animal welfare.
