Power Outage Strikes Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George is experiencing a major power outage.  Power went out to 5,823 homes and business around 9:20 Saturday morning. 

Most of the western half of the bowl lost electricity along with parts of College Heights and Miworth. 

BC Hydro officials haven’t been available to confirm the source of the outage but BC Hydro’s outage website says a line is down near 15th Avenue and Ogilvie Street.  It’s not clear when power will be restored.
