PRINCE GEORGE – A woman who has touched the hearts of many in Prince George was honoured in a great way on Saturday. The Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society hasn’t changed locations, but the building does officially have a new name.

The room lit up as Baljit Sethi stood up to accept both a lifetime achievement award and the honour of having the Immigrant and Multicultural Service Society building named after her. “The Baljit Sethi Centre” will now carry her legacy through its name and it’s ongoing achievements. After retiring back in March, Sethi says she has many good memories and was grateful for what the IMSS did for her.

Many people from Prince George stood to speak on Sethi’s behalf and nothing but kind words were said, it was clear she had quite the impact on this community.

Many would consider themselves lucky to really enjoy what they do for a living and Sethi was one of those people. The work she did gave her a great amount of joy and allowed her to do things she never imagined were possible.
