CNC Artists Display Their Works
PRINCE GEORGE – Ten Fine Arts students from the College of New Caledonia have their artworks on display in the college’s library. They will be purchased by the college’s different departments and will be put on display. It’s a real feather in the cap for the students and the college as a whole.
“Often times in our lives, as artists, we are told you can’t make a living as an artist, you have to get a real job. Well, art is real and it’s very important to our world, to our community, to individuals. It has huge healing properties,” says Betty Kovacic, Fine Arts Instructor. “It’s amazing.”
She says, in some cases, she gets contacted by a member of the public who has seen the art on campus and wishes to commission a piece of work from the artist, launching a career.
