PRINCE GEORGE – Local firefighters responding to an early morning fire in the 8000 block of Sparrow Road in the Hart Highway area.
Crews arrived just after 3:30 am to find the home filled with heavy smoke.
Residents escaped to safety thanks to a working smoke detector. The fire was found in the basement and quickly put out.
The cause remains under investigation with damage pegged at $20,000.
