PRINCE GEORGE – It’s been in the works for a long while and under construction for just over a year. And the new stairs and elevator at the Prince George Airport were officially opened today with a ribbon-cutting. The Airport noted the inaccessible nature of the airport from the parking lot a the single most common complaint.
“Well, I think more and more nowadays we’re trying to find ways to make it easier for everybody to get around,” says John Gibson, President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority. “Whether it’s people with disabilities, whether it’s the elderly, whether it’s families or just somebody going on vacation with a lot of baggage.”
BC Air Access provided $2 million in funding to the airport for upgrades.
