PRINCE GEORGE – It’s been a long time since the Stanley Cup was last seen in Prince George.  But Monday it’s back thanks to the heroics of Brett Connolly and the Washington Capitals.

Connolly is spending his day with the Cup at CN Centre where a noon hour rally is planned.  Doors to the arena will open at 10.  Fans are encouraged to get there early to get a good seat.  And youngsters should wear their minor hockey jerseys so they can get into seats closer to the front of the stage.

The last visit by the Stanley Cup came in the summer of 2003 when Turner Stevenson hoisted the Cup in front of City Hall. Stevenson won the Cup as a member of the New Jersey Devils.
