Foundry Prince George Educates About Youth Mental Health

PRINCE GEORGE — Foundry Prince George is hosting an information night to educate families, youth and their caregivers about mental wellness and suicide in youth.

The Community Conversation will be held Wednesday night, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will feature presentations from local resource providers and will give people the opportunity to ask any questions they might have.

“We recognize that young people and their families struggle with mental health, many people do. Going into the holidays can be a tough time of year, especially as young people maybe aren’t as connected to their school system or other areas of support. So really it just gives a chance for families to maybe just figure out some ways to get past their own fear, potentially, of talking about mental health and suicide,” says Toni Carlton, Manager of Foundry Prince George.
