Baby William weighed in at six pounds, 14 ounces and was also welcomed into the world by his big sister, two-and-a-half-year-old Avery.

"Baby and mommy are both happy and healthy and are resting," dad Will told CKPG News. "His full name is William Douglass Grant Ross, named after his grandpa and great grandpa."

The first baby born in BC in 2019 was also a boy, delivered at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster at 12:01 a.m.
