PRINCE GEORGE – With the help of donors, UHNBC is now the home of four of the latest state-of-the-art orthopedic video imaging units.

Local  Orthopedic surgeons now have access to more reliable equipment and will have their extensive patient waitlists addressed. With some funds from The Copper Falls Project and those who supported the 2018 Festival of Trees, $325,000,000 was raised to purchase the four units. The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation had identified this as a need last fall.

The medical equipment will allow doctors to have a better look at those injuries that are causing pain and suffering on joints.

One of the new units was already used in a medical procedure earlier this week. More training is scheduled for staff and in the near future, all four units will become fully operational.
