Conservation Officer Service Patrolling City Neighbourhoods

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Conservation Officer Service has already been forced to destroy six black bears this year.

Some residents continue to break the law by not securing their bear attractants. Conservation Officers are taking to the streets, patrolling high bear activity areas and ticketing those residents who do not secure their bear attractants. Dawson Road, Avtar Place and Webber Crescent are some of the areas Conservation Officers are focusing their ticketing campaign.

The fine for not securing a bear attractant is $230.
