Voting day for the Lheidli T’enneh

SHELLEY — Today is election day for the Lheidli T’enneh.

There are thirteen candidates for council this year – and two running for chief. Dominick Frederick is the longtime incumbent first elected as Chief in 2004.

Clayton Pountney is Frederick’s lone challenger – a current councillor.

Polls opened at 9 this morning and will continue until 8 tonight – members are able to vote in person at the Band Office.
