Booze still buzz’n during the COVID-19 pandemic
VICTORIA—Government liquor stores remain open, according to a release from the Attorney General.
Hours of operation will be adjusted to BC Liquor Stores, however, to ensure that staff are able to complete additional store cleaning in the off hours in attempt to minimize the risk of spreading the novel coronavirus.
The release also mentions that the number of customers will be limited, where required, in order to meet the self-distancing guidelines outlined by Bonnie Henry, BC’s Provincial Health Officer and the Minister of Health.
The adjustment in hours will also help staff keep shelves stocked as stores have been experiencing staff shortages.
