Kershaw hopeful to represent PG on the cover of Maxim

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for local bodybuilder and model Kendal Kershaw as she competes to be on the cover of popular magazine Maxime.

Voting for the Quarter-Final round is underway.

“It is in the middle stages right now. I did slide down to 5th. I was first in the group rounds. I did come out on top there. I am just happy to play the game. It’s awesome to be in the Quarter-Finals of a competition that is so huge because there are thousands of models,” shared Kershaw.

Spots in the Semi-Finals are few and far between, as just 12 people will advance to the next round.

Throughout the whole voting process though, Prince George and the surrounding area have continued to support their own.

“Yeah, it has been completely mind-blowing,” stated Kershaw.

“Prince George is where I was born. It was where I was raised. The more I put myself out there, it’s a little more scary. I’m always expecting a little more backlash, but I have just had this flood of support and people saying thanks for doing it which I thought was weird because it’s just this little modelling thing.”

She has also received comments from people saying she is inspiring them.

“It’s really hard to believe, but if that is something that is going on I would love to compound that and make that happen even more and more.”
