NDP’s Taylor Bachrach to win re-election for Skeena-Bulkley Valley

PRINCE GEORGE – The New Democrats will are projected to retain the riding of Skeena-Bulkley Valley as Taylor Bachrach gets re-elected.

The former Mayor of Smithers currently holds a lead of 41 per cent with 145 of the riding’s 224 polling stations reporting.

Created in 2003, this riding has been held exclusively by the New Democrats.

NDP’s Nathan Cullen held the seat from 2004-2019 before former Mayor of Smithers Taylor Bachrach ran, ultimately winning the seat during the 2019 Federal Election with 41 per cent of the vote.

This district includes the cities of Terrace and Prince Rupert, the town of Smithers, as well as the districts of Kitimat, Hazelton, New Hazelton, Stewart, Port Edward, Houston and the villages of Masset, Burns Lake, Granisle, Telkwa and Port Clements.
