No bus service Friday in SD57 due to icy roads

PRINCE GEORGE — Icy roads have made operating school busses too dangerous.

That’s why First Student has cancelled all its routes serving School District 57 today.

Light showers and freezing roads have led to treacherous driving conditions with the freeze/thaw cycle not expected to end until well into next week.

In related news, Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Pine Pass with 10 to 15 centimetres of snow expected today along with the risk of freezing rain.

Our national forecaster reminds motorists that weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
