Two arrested in suspected arson case in downtown Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — Two people were arrested in downtown Prince George Thursday morning after they were suspected of starting a fire.
RCMP received the call just after 8 a.m. when a witness reported seeing some suspicious activity near a building on the 1100-block of Sixth Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Prince George Fire Rescue activity engaged in dousing a small fire.
Two suspects were identified by witnesses and located by police a short distance away. The pair are known to police for similar events and have been held in custody until they can attend a bail hearing.
The fire occurred just steps from the big fire at CrossRoads Brewing last month.
