Nov 28, 2017 | 10:37 AM

UNBC is kicking off its HIV/AIDS Awareness Week today as part of the Canadian HIV/AIDS Awareness Week (Nov. 24 – Dec. 1). Numerous activities will be taking place over the next few days for people to participate in.

Starting tonight from 7-9 p.m., Philadelphia is the free movie night pick. Enjoy some free popcorn and drink while you’re at it. That’ll all happen at the Weldwood Lecture Theatre.

Tomorrow, during the day from 9 am – 3 pm, there’ll be an info table along with an HIV & STI testing station in the UNBC Wintergreen Garden (next to Tim Horton’s). There’s also games, activities and prizes. In the evening, from 6-8 p.m. at the Rotunda Art Space, people will get the chance to hear from those living with HIV. Stories about the struggles and recovery will be shared. Some artwork will also be displayed for people to view.

On Thursday night at 9 pm, there will be a trivia night of Let’s Talk About Sex at the Thirsty Moose. Don’t be shy, stop by and get informed.
