Poverty Reductions Meetings Coming To The North

VICTORIA – British Columbians are invited to come and talk about how poverty can be reduced in the province. Ideas shared at the in-person community meetings will help inform the Poverty Reduction Strategy. The community meetings will run from the end of November to the end of March.  The Poverty Reduction Strategy that is scheduled to be released in fall 2018.

Three regional meetings are scheduled for Northern BC this week:

Prince Rupert:
Date: Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018
Location: Nisga’a Hall, 860 3rd Ave. West
Time: Doors will open at noon. The community meeting will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Note: Refreshments will be served.

Terrace / Kitimat:
Date: Friday, Jan. 12, 2018
Location: Elks Lodge, 2822 Tetrault St.
Time: Doors will open at noon. The community meeting will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
