YMCA Of Northern BC To Operate New Childcare Centre
FORT ST. JOHN – In partnership with School District 60, the YMCA of Northern BC will be operating Fort St. John’s newest childcare centre, which is scheduled to open this summer. The centre is in the new Margaret “Ma” Murray Community School and will provide 12 childcare spaces for infants and toddlers, along with 25 spaces for three to five-year-old children.
“School District 60 is pleased to partner with the YMCA of Northern BC to bring much-needed daycare facilities to Fort St. John,” said Erin Evans, board chair, School District 60.
This is the first presence for the YMCA of Northern BC in Fort St. John and information on how to register will be available in May.
BC Hydro contributed $1.8 million to help build the childcare centre and $500,000 was given by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
