MMIWG Inquiry Coming To PG

PRINCE GEORGE — The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Inquiry is coming to Prince George next week.
A special ceremony will take place at the Conference and Civic Centre at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 5th. 
The event will run until the 7th of February when families and friends can tell their stories. Walk-ins are welcome.
The public is welcome to attend the opening and closing ceremonies, but the statements are private in nature.
The mandate of the inquiry is to examine and report on the systemic causes of all forms of violence against Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ people in Canada by looking at patterns and underlying factors.
