PRINCE GEORGE — For several years programs have been in place to reverse the decline of BC’s mountain Caribou. Recently the Kennedy Siding Caribou herd along the Pine Pass faced a set back after two animals where shot and killed on January 31. Each season the animals pause and eat at feeding stations set up by biologists in an effort to assist this at-risk species. When Conservation Officer Services attended the call, they found a bull and a pregnant cow were shot and left. The Conservation Officer Service have no suspects and are reaching out to the public for help. Anyone with information regarding the death of the two animals is asked to call the Conservation Officer Service to help identify those responsible for the killings.
