SURREY – Despite dropping a 5 – 2 decision in Surrey Friday night, the Prince George Spruce Kings clinched their first Mainland Division title.  That’s because the Kings nearest rival, the second place Chilliwack Chiefs were beaten 5 – 2 by Merritt.  Even if the Chiefs were to win their remaining five games, and the Spruce Kings lose their final 4 games, the Spruce Kings would wind up in first place.

Ben Brar and Liam Watson-Brawn scored goals for the Spruce Kings in Friday’s loss while.  Prince George is in Coquitlam tonight.
