PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George has received $300,000 from Western Economic Diversification to create a clean tech hub. The announcement was made today at the Wood Innovation and Design Centre. This investment will help local businesses compete in international markets while creating well-paying middle-class jobs.

Minister of State for Trade, George Chow says the BC government will continue to support Prince George with the assistance in export development for small and medium-sized businesses and capacity-building through tech accelerators and other programs.

Mayor Lyn Hall says, “Council also thanks the Government of Canada for investing in the development of clean technology here in Northern BC. Enhancing our clean tech sector will increase Prince George’s capacity to develop new, environmentally friendly tech products and services.”
