Manga Artwork Wins ‘Best Overall’ At Art Show

PRINCE GEORGE – Twenty-eight pieces by young artists in grades 8 – 12 have been on display at the Prince George Public Library since the beginning of February.

Five artists received a $200 prize this weekend for the top pieces in the following categories:

– Most Original 
– Best Use of Materials
– People’s Choice 
– Best Overall 
– Social Commentary

Grade 12 student Juri Sudorustad won the “Best Overall” category and was shocked when they announced her name. 

“Mine is really small compared to others, even though mine is pretty bright, but I didn’t really think it would be overall best,” says Sudorustad.
