Police Warn Public About Deadly Drug

PRINCE GEORGE – RCMP are warning the public about a deadly drug that is new to the streets of Prince George. 

The drugs were seized during a Central Street motel search earlier this month. Carfentanil is a synthetic opioid which is extremely lethal. GHB or Gamma-hydroxybutyrate is considered to be a “date rape” drug. 

Police advise when you’re in a public place, never leave your drink unattended, never accept a drink from a stranger, use the buddy system when you go out and call 911 if you think you or someone else has been drugged. 

A 49-year-old local man and 42-year-old Vancouver man were both arrested at the motel. Both are awaiting charges.
