City Fields Not Ready for Action

City fields and ball diamonds are still not ready for action.
The city is asking residents to stay off the fields until they are officially open. Staff continues to monitor the fields and ball diamonds to make sure they are ready for extended play. 

It’s estimated the fields will be ready by mid May, about two weeks later than usual.  City staff wants to make sure the turf is healthy and has a good root base before the fields open. 

Connaught Hill Park remains closed until all the roads are free from ice and snow,  the city is hoping the park will open by the end of the month or early May. 

It does look like the Pine Valley Golf Course will open next week if the weather co-operates.
