VICTORIA - To allow seniors to be better connected with people and activities, eight northern B.C. communities are receiving age-friendly grants. Communities include Prince George, Quesnel, Fort St. John, Fraser Lake, Kitimat, Smithers, Stewart and Wells.

QUESNEL - The Quesnel School District has changed its plans for the move of Quesnel Junior Secondary School students into Maple Park school. The latter was being renovated to accommodate hundreds of students while a new school is being built. That was to happen over the Spring Break.
SMITHERS - The road dust advisory that was issued yesterday for Burns Lake has been lifted. The Ministry of Environment and Northern Health say the particulate matter levels have decreased. The advisory was originally issued as a result of high concentrations of coarse particulate matter.
WILLIAMS LAKE - Williams Lake RCMP have arrested seven local people along with one from Port Coquitlam in connection with drug trafficking. After a two-month investigation, police say the suspects were allegedly part of a dial-a-dope operation that was happening in the Williams Lake area.
