Big Turnout For Kelly Road Open

The largest annual wrestling tournament in the north was back this weekend at Kelly Road. The Kelly Road Open has been going every year since 1981, and this weekend’s tournament was the biggest one they’ve had in a number of years. Teams from as far away as Fort St. John, Smithers and Williams Lake came to compete, and there were nearly 100 matches with more than 100 wrestlers in total. The sports seems to be growing in recent years, according to tournament organizer Clint Pattison.
