PRINCE GEORGE – Earlier this week, a concerned citizen witnessed a semi driving with an unsecured load and notified police right away.

It happened on Tuesday at around 2:30 pm. Authorities located the vehicle with the loose bales of hay at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16.

When police spoke with the driver, they immediately observed signs of impairment. The driver was then issued a 90 Day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and violation charges under the Liquor Control & Licensing Act. The tractor-trailer was impounded, following IRP protocol.

The RCMP continues their commitment to stopping impaired drivers to ensure the safety of the public.
