PRINCE GEORGE — There will be some new faces around the Prince George School District board table following Saturday’s municipal election.

Jake Skakun and Don Sabo were elected as new trustees for the Prince George electoral area, while incumbents Cory Antrim and Craig Brennan lost their seats.

Incumbent Sarah Holland topped the polls with 6,593 votes, or 11.9 per cent of the vote. Skakun finished close behind with 6,427 votes and 11.6 per cent.

Incumbent Shar McCrory was returned to the board with 4,534 votes, while newcomer Sabo captured another seat with 4,310 votes.

Incumbent Erica McLean secured the final Prince George trustee position with 4,308 votes, just two fewer than Sabo.

Brennan fell 304 votes short of McLean, finishing with 4,004 votes. Antrim received 3,498 votes.

Also falling short were Samantha Hermanson with 3,821 votes, David Low with 3,407, Monica Peacock with 3,396, Laurie Dillman with 3,382, Sara Patterson with 2,839, Lisa Mitchell with 2,820 and Barb McNab with 2,269.

The results mean three incumbents, Holland, McCrory and McLean, will return to the School District 57 board, joined by newcomers Skakun and Sabo representing the Prince George area.

Elsewhere in the district, Tianna Klein was acclaimed as trustee for the Mackenzie electoral area and did not require a vote.

The make-up of the full board, however, remains incomplete.

Results for the Robson Valley trustee position were not available in the information provided Sunday morning. The race there is between Lianne Abbott and incumbent Bob Thompson.

Once the Robson Valley result is known, the final composition of the School District 57 Board of Education will be set following the 2026 municipal election.
