Business Fair Asks PG To Shop Local
PRINCE GEORGE – Over 80 small businesses are a part of the Spring Small Business Fair Sunday at the Roll-A-Dome. Bonnie Kerr, one of the organizers of the fair, says it’s about getting home-based businesses out and shared with the community.
“I made a network of friends, who are also small business owners, and we all wanted to get these home-based businesses out,” says Kerr.
She explains that a lot of businesses start sharing their products through Facebook, but it’s hard to sell when buyers don’t see an item in person.
The event has everything from home-based businesses, small businesses, baked items, and Spring photography. Kerr believes it’s important to shop local because money made by small businesses, is money that will be spent back into the community.
