Spring Clean-Up: PG Gets A Makeover

PRINCE GEORGE – Grab your gloves it’s clean-up day. REAPS and the City of Prince George are hosting the annual city-wide spring clean up today. From 10 am to 4 pm residents beautify the city by picking up litter.

Volunteers registered ahead of time to ensure that clean-up crews hit a variety of locations across Prince George.

The event is also a good chance for treasure hunters to roll up their sleeves: “people find pop cans all the time! People find five-dollar-bills, ten-dollar-bills, lots of coins, so you never know what might be a treasure,” says Terri McClymont, REAPS.

McClymont noted that the most common kind of garbage they find around town is paper, cigarettes, and fast food containers. Nine bins are located throughout PG for people to drop off collected garbage. To have a look at the bin locations and garbage pickup hot spots you can checkout REAPS’ map
