PRINCE GEORGE – Council is one step closer to submitting a balanced budget, as required by law, to the Province by mid-May.
Back in January, Council settled on a tax hike of 1.87% to maintain most services, but also add two police officers, a full-time Emergency Program Coordinator and two part-time Bylaw Compliance Assistants.
The tax hike is one of the lowest in recent history.
Mayor and Council have given the operating and capital budgets first two readings.
