Province Appoints Three Court Judges
VICTORIA – The BC government has appointed three new provincial judges today.
Judge Linda Thomas starts on July 5th and will be assigned to the Northern Region. Thomas has focused her efforts on child protection and family law mediation, along with developing and facilitating legal information workshops for groups including Indigenous communities.
Judge Anja Brown will be assigned to the Fraser Region and will begin on July 3rd. She has worked with Indigenous communities on legal matters including fisheries rights, child protection and governance.
Judge Trudy Agnes MacDonald will also be assigned to the Fraser Region and will start on July 3rd. She has focused her work on family law mediation with a commitment to giving a voice for youth in family matters.
