Local Man Credited With Discovering Supernova

PRINCE GEORGE-  A local man has made a discovery he won’t soon forget as he’s been recognized by the International Astronomical Union. Malhar Kendurkar has been credited with finding a supernova in the galaxy NGC6353. A supernova is a star that is at the end of its lifespan and it produces a very bright explosion as it dies out.  Kendurkar says the supernova he discovered is 16 times the mass of our sun.
